Wow am I really bad at a blog page! It's been almost 5 months since I wrote anything! We are great here in Harrisburg, PA! Since it is summer Kyler and I hang out together everyday, all day; and I need a vacation! He is a healthy boy, just at the doctor and 19 lbs, 26 1/2 inches long. We think he will be a football star!

Baby is Here

Well I am a little late to post but Kyler Scott McCall did arrive on February 24th, 2009. He was a big boy at 9lbs. 13.2ozs. and 19 1/2 inches long. We tried to have him naturally but after 12 hours of induction and highest doses of Pitocin he did not want to come out! He never dropped into the pelvis, so the doctors recommended a c-section and that is what we did. The doctor said we made a good choice when it was all over, because he was large and didn't think his head would have made it through, also the cord was around his neck twice. So no matter how he got here, we were very happy and relieved he came out safely. Now almost 3 weeks old, we are trying to get a schedule, and discovering every day how awesome Kyler is. I wish he slept more during the night, but other than that he is a very calm, content baby. He doesn't cry! If he wakes up in the middle of the night he grunts and makes noises so I know he is up! He will cry if during the day I don't feed him quick enough though, but as soon as you pick him up and sing he stops. I guess with such a horrible birth, he wanted to make up for it by being a wonderful baby. We'll keep in touch! Oh yeah he has red hair!

Baby Update Again...

We are not doing an amniocentesis to see if his lungs are developed, my placenta is in the way and it is too risky. Therefore if I don't have Kyler on my own in the next week, I will be admitted to Harrisburg Hospital on the 21st for induction. I want to try to have him naturally, if there is any problems or he doesn't fit, I will get a C-section. Hopefully they are off on his size or he will be a "normal" size baby for my body. They don't want to wait long because they are estimating him to be large, probably around 10 pounds! I am not dilated or anything, he hasn't even really dropped he is still up in my ribs and diaphram. So we continue to wait, I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow so we'll see if my "flower is blooming!" Love and miss you!

Baby Update

So Kyler is big, and they are concerned about his size he was measuring 8 lbs 4 ozs give or take 1 pound. I have to go twice a week to get Non-Stress Test (NST) which is the monitor they put on baby to see if he is stressed with his heartrate. Also next week they will probably do an amniocentesis to see if his lungs are developed, and if so induce me. The doctor's office is unsure of my due date, they vary from March 2nd to February 17th. So they do not think I should go too long, because Kyler will just get bigger and bigger and then we could have trouble during delivery. So that is the update, hopefully he will come on his own, but when they checked me today I was only 1cm dilated and my cervix was soft, but his head has not dropped. I'll let you know how it goes; if you pray, pray for us!

Belly Pics

Yes, I am posting these, yes I am in my jammies, and yes I have no makeup or even a shower! This is about 37 weeks, enjoy and share in my hugeness. Now you know why Scott has to tie my shoes, and I need to turn over in bed by holding on to the head board. Anyday Kyler!!!!!!!!!

Nursery

We had our baby shower, and we were so blessed with everything we received. My three moms did an awesome job, and even though it was snowing and sleeting we had a nice turn out. Scott and I went the next day and got just a few items we needed. I can honestly say Kyler has everything he needs! Here are some pictures of his nursery! Love and miss everyone.

Kyler is coming...

We had another ultrasound, and he is coming soon! Probably around February 15-17th. We hope he doesn't come too soon, we need to get some more sleep! Also we don't want him to come February 14th because that is our anniversary and we don't want to share it with baby. Everything still looks good, we saw him on the screen and he has chubby cheeks and was opening and closing his mouth. He was looking at us the whole time, and had his arms up around his face. He is about 5 pounds already, and it looked like he has a big head, lets hope not! Our baby shower is this Saturday, we are very excited to share with our friends and family the excitement we feel about Kyler. Check the blog because we are going to try and scan a picture of him.
